Keeping children in school.

POP provides:

  • Parenting-skills training for adults and youngster.
  • A crèche and pre-school, where three- to six-year-olds can develop, learn and grow.
  • School support in the form of fees, uniforms, warm clothes, stationery and raincoats.
  • After-school care, which comprises: homework supervision, access to a library and computers, a place for children to launder their school shirts, hot meals.
  • Holiday programmes, which broaden horizons and build bodies and minds.
  • Preparation for Work, which provides young people with the skills training they need in order to find jobs.
  • Literacy training a free monthly photo comic that is distributed to 18 000 farm workers and rural dwellers that boosts literacy, provides information and deals with community related issues.
