Olive Tree Challenge

Want to be part of the 10,000 Olive Tree Challenge?

These Olive trees make perfect gifts for celebrations and commemorations:

  • Christenings
  • Birthdays
  • Weddings & Anniversaries
  • Birth of child or grandchild
  • Death of loved ones
  • Special friendships
  • Special events

This is a tree that

  • Lasts forever -some Olive trees in Portugal are 800 years old!
  • Fruits constantly – fruit goes towards supporting community programmes for rural farm children
  • Gives mother earth a present by sucking up CO2

Want to plant olive trees in Africa and help a rural child?

For a donation of £1 per week (£5 per month), we will plant 2 olive trees in your name (or in the name of a loved one) at Goedgedacht farm, 54 miles North West of Cape Town on the west coast of South Africa.

Goedgedacht Farm is the site of our 1st Path Out of Poverty (POP) rural youth centre, and currently has an olive grove of over 11,000 trees. The sale of extra virgin olive oil from these trees helps support rural African children.

Each olive tree planted puts one more rural child onto the Path out of Poverty programme to a brighter and greener future!

Yes, I want to make a donation of £5 a month

The programme supports these children from the time they are born until they become self-supporting young adults in four key areas of their lives: education, health, personal development and care for the environment.

Your olive trees will be planted in the Olive Peace Grove at Goedgedacht Farm and will have a label with your name attached to each tree.

With each new tree planted our olive grove will expand and so will our Path Out of Poverty programme. We already have two rural POP centres, and are currently working on our 3rd. Over the next 10 years we want to build 10 more centres and reach thousands more rural children, giving them hope for a better future.
